How To Use Safe Link Extension

1. Click "Get the Extension"
   On the homepage, locate and click the "Get the Extension" button. This will redirect you to the Chrome Web Store.
2. Add to Chrome
   On the Chrome Web Store page, click the "Add to Chrome" button.
3. Confirm Installation
   A pop-up will appear asking for confirmation. Click "Add extension" to complete the installation.
4. Extension Activated
   Once installed, the Safe Link extension will automatically activate and run in the background to protect you from malicious links.

Check Link

Method 1: Right-Click Context Menu

1. Find a Link You Want to Check
   Hover over or find any hyperlink on a webpage.
2. Right-Click on the Link
   Using your mouse, right-click on the link you're unsure about.
3. Select "Check link safety"
   In the context menu that appears, click on the option labeled "Check link safety."
4. View the Safety Results
   A popup will open showing whether the link is safe, suspicious, or dangerous.

Method 2: Use the Extension Popup

1. Copy the Link
   Highlight the link you want to check and copy it (Right-click → Copy or press Ctrl+C / Cmd+C).
2. Click the Safe Link Extension Icon
   In the top-right corner of Chrome, click the Safe Link icon (the green shield icon).
3. Paste the Link into the Input Box
   In the extension popup, paste your link into the input field (Right-click → Paste or press Ctrl+V / Cmd+V).
4. Click "Check"
   Hit the Check button to scan the link.
5. View the Result
   The extension will show the safety status of the link right away.

If the extension isn't working as expected, try the following steps:

1. Refresh the Page
   If right-click options don't appear or links aren't responding:
   Press Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac) to reload the page.

2. Ensure the Extension is Enabled
   Go to chrome://extensions/ in your browser.
   Make sure the Safe Link extension toggle is turned on.

7. Disable Conflicting Extensions
   Some other Chrome extensions (like ad blockers or security tools) may interfere:
   Temporarily disable other extensions and see if Safe Link works normally.
